What are the weaknesses?

... the trouble is it is sold as a long range phone and it simply isn't. Siemens claim it has a range of "up to" 50m insite and "up to" 300m outside. Inside, I found the signal breaking up less than 1m from the base. 5m away the phone de-registered itself from the base station. The retailer said it was a problem with the base unit and supplied another one. This was much the same. I tested it outside. It had a maximum range of about 10m. Perhaps Siemens think they can rely on the claim that the range is only "up to" 300m - i.e. all they are saying is that the range isn't more yhan 300m. However, they do claim it is a long-range phone and its range is actually shorter than any previous DECT phone I have purchased; none of them claimed to be "long range".
